Pga Tour Courage Award Goes To Erik Compton

Commissioner Tim Finchem presented the award Wednesday at the Frys.Com Open at the CordeValle Golf Club in San Martin, Calif., where the Tour's new wrap-around 2013-14 season begins today. Compton, who was diagnosed with viral cardiomyopathy when he was 9 and had heart transplants when he was 12 and 28, played the Web.Com Tour in 2002, 2005-07 and has been a member of the PGA Tour since 2012.

Pettersen is second at 69.700, and Park third at 69.797. Last week, it was tough, Lewis said. It was a long week with some delays with the smog. But coming off that, I played some pretty good golf. Thats what I take out of it.
